The mission of the NHLBI Progenitor Cell Biology Consortium is to develop improved understanding of the biology of stem and progenitor cells, and to harness this knowledge for the diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood diseases. The Consortium comprises nine multidisciplinary virtual research hubs supported by an Administrative Coordinating Center.
